Annual Peck Family Christmas Party
This year at the Peck Family Christmas Party we had a lot of people gone. I am pretty sure that we had 40 people out of 70 something in the Peck Family. The reason why we had so few was because we had some that had new babies in their house, so lived too far away, and for Chelsea and Davis they were in California visting Davis' side of the family. But still with 40 so people we still had a blast. In the Peck Family I don't have many kids my age but that doesn't really bother me because I mostly spend most of my time with the babies! I love all my little baby cousins. Oh I just want to squeeze their little cheeks! The only little kids that were able to come were; Everest, Gracie, Lucy, Ruthie, Anna, and Seth. I haven't seen Everest for a while and so it was so fun being able to see him! He makes me laugh! We had all the presents by the tree and he would just stand there in shock looking at all these gifts and would make noices like "ohh!" And when Papa passed out the gift and handed Angela Everest's gift, Angela told Everest to come get his gift but he was so in shock by all these presents, that he just stood there with big bug eyes make those cute little noices! But before we headed to the Cottonwood Club where the party is held, we thought that it would be nice to maybe stop by Grandma Mare's grave before we headed over to the party. It was the first Christmas party without her and let me tell you guys, it was very different without hearing her say " Yodel a you!" when she needed our attention, or when we played songs with the bells to hear he sing the songs as we struggled to tap the bell when it was our turn, but mostly it was different when it was time to leave that we only could hug Papa. But we heading to where she was buried. She isn't buried like most of us our buried she is buried above the ground. We passed where she layed and I took a couple of photos. It was so beautiful! It was snowing (if you can't all ready tell in the photos) and Aunt Tomi put up a solar Christmas Tree so in the morning the sun will "charge" the lights and then at light it really works like a Christmas tree. It's pretty neat and a great idea. We stopped and took a couple of pictures. I was trying to hold back tears as I took the pictures, but just couldn't! This year has been very hard for me from having her pass away, very hard! I cried as we made our way down to the Cottonwood mall but don't worry I cried silently, so not knowing that I was crying my parents and sister didn't even know! We made our way to the club and we talked with Joan and Jerry (Jerry is Grandma Mares brother, and let me tell you, he reminds me EXACTLY like Grandma Mare!) and then helped Papa and Shauna unload the car and put the gifts around the tree. When the party started we had some yummy food (each year it's the same food). It was really good! Then we played this new game that they made up where you found a partner (my partner was cousin David) and you have 2 dice. You have a card that looks kind of like a bingo card. You roll the two dice and what ever 2 numbers you roll you can add the numbers together and what it equals if you have it on your card you can put it on the number on the board or you can roll the dice and the 2 numbers you get, you can put on it just how it is (EXAMPLE: if I rolled a 2 and 6, I could find a 2 and 6 and put in on the board). But the object of the game was to fill the whole board with M&M's and then say "Merry Christmas!". The first to say "Merry Christmas" was the winner and could pick out a candy from the basket. Of course the first round was a little hectic and David and I (being competitive) were, I guess you could say " kinda cheating.." but by the 3rd round we were like pros! We played against Connor and Garrett. After we played this fun game, we played a game that Angela and Aaron made up. It was like a Christmas Jeporady game. It was boys verses girls.. and it ended up that the boys won! We had a fun time answering the questions! It was a REALLY fun game! After we played Chrismas Jeporady we had icecream and then it was time to open gift. We have this rule that when you get your present that you wait until everyone has their gift and then we open them at the same time. This year we got our shirts for the dude ranch that we are going to in June this summer! The girls had red shirts, and the boys had blue shirts. The reason why they had different colors for each girl and boy was because when we go to the dude ranch you have races and games that we play while we are up there. On the back of the shirts they say " The Peck Family Round-up 2010" I think that they are so cute! And thanks to Shauna , the presents were so cute because of her skills on wrapping gifts. I bet as you are reading this you know what I mean! She is so creative and all the presents where wrapped so cute! Papa is lucky to have Shauna to help him wrap tons of gifts! We had a drawing and had all types of goofy prices! I had got some yummy popcorn that didn't make it home because of the twins and I. We ate it all gone! It was delicous! Oh.. I forgot the order of how things went but I forgot to mention the bells! How could I forget! Papa sat by me and let me tell you how much this guy means to me! He is such a great guy! I love him! Him and I had fun singing the songs while we "tried" to ring the bells when it was our turn. Both him and I think that we deserve to be in like a choir group because we are just "awesome!" with playing the bells (wink, wink!) But you are probably thinking that this is the mostly longest post ever and you are probably falling asleep but this long post is mainly for my cousins live far away and weren't able to be there and also for Chelsea and Davis. Well I better end this but that was our Christmas Party and I can't wait for next years!

Cassie,
Loved your post-it's as good as a journal. I'm at Natalie's and Abigial is sitting right next to me. She wants to know what you got for Christmas. She also wants to tell you that when she's your age she wants to do a blog too, like your's. Too bad you aren't here right now.
I SO wish I was there right now! That would be GREAT for Abigail to get a blog one day! Let's see I got a straightner for my hair, a itty bitty straightner for my bangs, TONS of candy, a gift card to go to the vegar malls, and tons of gift cards
Sounds like you had a Merry Christmas :)
